WHO says it has not stopped Nigeria from getting the Covid vaccine - 19

The World Health Organization (WHO) has said it has not prevented Nigeria and other African countries from getting the Covid-9 vaccine through its global vaccine program, COVAX.

The COVAX program is designed with the support of the agency to distribute up to one billion doses of vaccines among 92 low-income and middle-income countries.

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, the World Health Organization (WHO) representative in Nigeria, Walter Mulombo, said the agency supported immunization reaching all countries as a matter of urgency.

Mulombo's comments come in response to an earlier announcement that only 4 out of 13 African countries are eligible for immunization.

Thank you.
