Authorities in Nigeria have expressed concern over the rising number of cases of cholera in the country, with the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) reporting an additional 1,566 cases. on Tuesday alone.
Statistics from the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) show that the number of cases of cholera in Nigeria since the outbreak has reached 141,447, and the number of cases in the care centers has now reached 1,000. 23 and 998.
NCDC's General Manager of Disease Control, Dr. Mukhtar Muhammad, elaborated on the increase, saying they were aware of BUA's contribution to the purchase of 1 million free vaccines for Nigerians.
The death toll from cholera has now reached 1,694 and Tuesday's figures show that Lagos State has the highest number of 214 cases, followed by Osun State with 120, Abuja. 116 etc.
