Nigeria and Qatar have reached cooperation agreements

 


The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, and the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, have signed several agreements that will open the door to improving important areas between the two countries.

The sectors that will be affected by the agreements include the fields of education, business and investment promotion, youth employment, mining, tourism, and sports.

In a statement issued by the spokesperson for the president, Ajuri Ngelale, he said that the agreement was reached in the palace of the King of Qatar.

The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, said that his country is ready to welcome investors, saying that the changes being made by his government will promote investment in the country.

He said our greatest strength is our people. Our strength depends on our youth. They are strong, thinking, and believing in themselves," said the president of Nigeria.

He added that the youth of the country are educated and have the mindset to find a career wherever it is.

President Tinubu has appointed the Minister of Finance and Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, as the one who will lead the Nigerian government team that will discuss with the authorities of Qatar to identify areas to be invested in and implement them to move the country forward.

President Tinubu is currently on a working visit to Qatar with other senior officials of his government.
